Finance Accountant CPA

A newly created position, this team has been built up in the US, Canada, UK and now looking to grow in Australia with a finance accountant in Sydney CBD who is knowledgeable in Australian Accounting and direct tax compliance.

This is quite an interesting and exciting role we have available, with our client, a leading global fintech company, that is committed to delivering innovative financial solutions.

What Will You Be Doing?

The Finance Accountant CPA will be reporting to the Head Of Product Compliance and:

• Answering questions from the teams, auditing the software, and seeing how the end-to-end workflows are going for legislation purposes.
• Research, analyse, and document Australian accounting & legislative changes to ensure their products are up to date.
• Be able to communicate Australian accounting & direct tax legislation so it can be turned into easy-to-use software working with the engineering, design, and product management teams. Ensuring they understand the impact on our end users.
• Act as a primary source for information regarding Australian accounting & direct tax regulatory and legislative rules.

• You are detail orientated, and have a strategic overview of how to handle complex situations
• Self-sufficient and have the skills to work collaboratively with the product, design and IT teams.
• A passionate and enthusiastic individual who can work with different team members to ensure you are achieving joint outcomes.

What Will You Bring?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience (+ 5 years)
• CPA membership
• Expert understanding of Australian accounting and direct tax legislation and compliance
• Understanding accounting principles around money movement, e-commerce & similar
