National Electrical Engineer

Our client is a leading global construction company experiencing significant growth across Australia and New Zealand. This newly created role focuses on building in-house technical capabilities to strengthen their competitiveness in the market.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Electrical Engineer with expertise in Electrical Design and Construction projects. We are seeking someone with a passion for leadership, who is eager to take ownership and build their own team in the ANZ region.

The role will support estimating and project teams in creating and executing engineering requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes maintaining high-quality standards, collaborating with clients, and providing updates to project management and business leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Electrical Design and Construction projects through the full project lifecycle.
• Provide expert engineering advice, facilitate decision-making, develop tender documents, and maintain relationships to enhance technical standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical requirements, budgets, and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with the project team, including suppliers and clients.
• Ensure activities align with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, and Safety Management Plans, as well as relevant standards and legislation.
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership by setting the standard in the workplace.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Project Design and Delivery.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• A qualification as a qualified Electrical Engineer (essential).
• Expertise in Electrical Design tools and proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• A strong drive for success and initiative.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and engage with a larger team.
• A solid understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and Regulations.
• Legal, unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
