We are partnering with a globally recognised FMCG manufacturing company committed to excellence in product quality, sustainability, and employee well-being. This industry leader is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental responsibility, and they are looking for a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Factory Manager, the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager will play a key role in ensuring the factory complies with all safety and environmental regulations while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the development and execution of the Factory’s Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) strategy and initiatives.
  • Define and recommend factory-specific HSE objectives aligned with broader market and corporate goals.
  • Monitor and report on SHE performance, providing insights to drive informed decision-making and ensure integration of SHE considerations into business operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, principles, and HSE-related requirements, including NCE, TPM, LEAN, NEMS, and NSMS standards.
  • Guarantee adherence to all applicable HSE-related legal regulations, and build and maintain a strong local network, including regulatory bodies, other factories, and industry partners.
  • Coach and guide the Plant Manager, Plant Management team, and Line Managers to support the achievement of the factory’s HSE objectives and ensure HSE is embedded as a core line management responsibility.
  • Ensure accurate collection, management, and communication of HSE performance data. Drive awareness of safety, health, and environmental matters across the organisation.
  • Take the lead in the plant’s HSE risk assessment program, including incident investigation, corrective action implementation, audits, and maintaining a focus on Behavioural-Based Safety (BBS) and safety culture.

Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, with a proven track record in driving safety culture and fostering a proactive approach to safety. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in HSE management, including expertise in management systems, risk assessments, and incident/accident investigations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to understand and influence safety behaviour within an industrial context.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of national, state, and local safety legislation, as well as relevant industry standards and codes.
  • A formal qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) or Environmental Management.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing change effectively, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong relationship-building skills.
