AV Design Engineer

Leading Audio Visual & Digital Integration solutions company in Australia is growing and is looking for an experienced fulltime AV Design Engineer/Draftsman/Specialist. We are looking for a passionate Engineer with background in AV.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Operations, the primary purpose is to provide technical assistance and solutions to the commercial sales team and clients regarding all AV products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Sales Representatives and Technical Consultants to design customised AV solutions
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to the sales team, customers, and prospects
• Prepare documents for tenders & sales material
• Interpret customer requirements; speak with customers or prospects to understand their needs and relay this information to the Sales Representative and Technical Consultant
• Perform technical presentations that demonstrates how products and services can benefit and meet customer or prospect needs
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge pertaining to the products and services offered by the allocated practice
• Serve as liaison with other departments in the company to gather technical expertise for supporting the sales team
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other related events
• Documentation of professional engineering reports (eg: design brief, scope or works, root cause analysis and technical road maps)

Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a customer facing engineer, solution architect, or equivalent experience supporting enterprise accounts
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Enjoy working with customers and external audiences & passion for AV industry and its amazing technology and solutions
• Demonstrated understanding of networks, specifically relating to AV control systems, UC/VC and AV over IP technologies
• Design and quote of AV vendor specific products including Poly, Logitech, Microsoft Surface Hub, Webex board, Smartsign
• Design for integration with collaboration systems (Microsoft teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom)
• Familiarity with digital and analogue audio commissioning principles including gain structure, echo cancellation, and signal processing

· Qualifications and Work Requirements

· Revit experience, BIM360 is plus but not essential
