Salt has partnered with a global Marketing Automation Services provider that is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team in Sydney. Founded in 2003 with offices across 8 different locations, and over 300 employees this organisation provides marketing services and technical support to leading brands across the globe.

If you have previous business development experience and consider yourself a part hunter, partner farmer then this role is for you! Working from both inbound and outbound inquiries, you will be supported by an SDR to continue to grow the company’s client base. This role will focus on growth within Australia & Singapore and therefore will require some domestic & international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, evaluating potential clients and partnerships to expand our customer base and revenue streams.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies, creating sales plans and setting your targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals, contribute to marketing strategies, and provide input for product development.
  • Act as a mentor to supporting team members – if they succeed, you succeed!
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and key metrics.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience within a tech company
  • Previous experience selling to SME – sales cycles can be anywhere from 3-6+ months.
  • Previous experience in an agency setting or understanding of the digital landscape is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end sales experience, including working with quotas and KPIs.
  • Successful track record of executing complex sales cycles with C-Level executives.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in the market.
  • Proven consultative selling and closing skills.
  • Ability to think critically and provide custom solutions.
