Digital Business Development Manager

Through rapid expansion, this Martin Place-based digital media business is on the lookout for a dynamic and entrepreneurial digital Sales Account Manager as well as a Business Development Manager. You will both have a strong passion for digital and mobile advertising and building relationships.

In these roles, you will be responsible for generating new advertising business via agencies and advertisers direct and you will also be getting access to a very warm and healthy pool of agency contacts ranging from Independent agencies to big group agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the advertising landscape and a track record for prospecting and converting new clients, especially with decision makers at leading advertising agencies in Australia.

What you’ll do:

• prospect & develop your appointed agencies/accounts
• Identify decision-makers and build strong relationships across your accounts
• Drive awareness through the industry, by effectively communicating the benefits of a relationship with my client’s brand
• Introduce new advertising solutions and features, as they are rolled out
• Close new contracts, track and report monthly revenue and cross-sell and upsell on existing accounts.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in the online advertising space. You could have experience working in sales or account management within a publisher, media owner, Ad network, sales house or Adtech business.
• Online display, mobile and programmatic experience would be a plus
• Proven sales ability, including outstanding influencing and negotiation skills and excellent communication skills
• A proven track record of closing strategic deals and exceeding revenue objectives within complex and changing or new business environments
• Strong relationship development skills and proactive follow through with accounts as well as existing relationships with Australia’s leading advertising agencies
• Solutions based selling skills/consultative sales background
