Android Developer

Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Android Developer to join their high performing tech team on a 6-month contract. This role will be fast paced and is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills with Android technology and frameworks to develop high quality products.

Ideal candidates will:

Be comfortable with ambiguity and open to learning whatever it takes to solve new challenges
Have at least three years of experience shipping applications in a professional setting
Explain technical details to stakeholders across disciplines and levels of expertise
Strongly grasp how effort, risk, and dependencies impact timelines
Be familiar working in an Agile setting
Dabble in other platforms and seek to expand their technical breadth
Have Experience as an Android native developer.
Have Experience with Kotlin programming and Native application environment.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field
Android: Strong object-oriented design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
Familiar with Android SDK
Familiar with Android Studio as well as build automation tools such as Gradle
Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIconcepts
Experience with implementing the Material Design standard.
Strong knowledge of Google Material Design
Ability to work with minimum instruction about UI and UI designs to be able to interpret accessible designs
