We are looking for an experienced Wholesale Energy Business Analyst to join a high-profile program supporting Parasystems operations within the wholesale energy sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on market-critical initiatives, ensuring compliance, optimizing processes, and driving efficiencies across energy trading and operations

  • MELBOURNE CBD based.
  • Hybrid working
  • $900.00 a day Inclusive of superannuation
  • Exposure to working alongside one of Australia’s largest energy providers.
  • 6-month rolling day rate contract.

THE ROLE:

As a Wholesale Energy Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing, documenting, and optimizing wholesale energy market operations. You will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance systems, streamline processes, and ensure regulatory alignment within a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze, document, and improve wholesale energy market operations.
  • Work closely with teams to streamline Parasystems processes and enhance system capabilities.
  • Engage in requirement gathering, process mapping, and business impact assessments.
  • Support system upgrades, integrations, and regulatory changes within the energy sector.
  • Ensure alignment with market frameworks, compliance standards, and operational best practices.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Wholesale Energy Industry Expertise – Proven experience working with the wholesale energy market is essential.
  • Business Analysis Skills – Strong requirement gathering, documentation, and process improvement abilities.
  • Parasystems Knowledge – Exposure to Parasystems operations and relevant market processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to liaise with business, IT, and regulatory teams effectively.
  • Industry Experience – It would be beneficial if you have previously worked at AGL, Jemena, EnergyAustralia, AusNet, or similar organizations.
