We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the areas of compliance and reform.

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the areas of compliance and reform. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of our reform initiatives, ensuring that all changes are implemented efficiently and effectively. Your expertise in business analysis, coupled with a deep understanding of insurance compliance and regulatory requirements, will be critical to our success.

• Lead the analysis and documentation of business requirements for major reform initiatives within the insurance sector.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and business units to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and gap analysis.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze and interpret regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to ensure the company’s operations remain compliant.
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support the implementation of reform initiatives by conducting impact assessments, risk analysis, and testing.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts within the team

THE COMPANY:

We are a highly esteemed Insurance company, rooted in the heart of Melbourne, seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to spearhead our Australian operations migration. With our New Zealand transformation nearing completion, this role will play a pivotal part in driving our next significant phase – the Australian migration.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with a focus on compliance and reform initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale reform projects from initiation to implementation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are preferred.
