Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to partner with our ANZ Sales & Account Management teams, helping drive data-informed decision-making. You’ll leverage descriptive and predictive analytics to optimize processes, uncover opportunities, and deliver strategic insights that directly impact our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Sales & Account Management teams to apply analytics that drive measurable improvements.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities in existing processes, designing and analyzing experiments to enhance speed, cost, and order efficiency for sellers.
• Tackle complex, cross-functional challenges that go beyond traditional product and data science boundaries.
• Champion data best practices, fostering a data-driven culture across teams.
• Develop core business metrics and KPIs in tools like Tableau, Looker, or Thoughtspot to track and measure business performance.
• Work closely with Data Engineering & Business Intelligence teams to establish high-quality data pipelines and curated data sources.
• Apply a mix of statistical analysis, quantitative reasoning, and machine learning to generate insights that inform business strategy.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure maximum impact on strategic decisions and business outcomes.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders through compelling visual, written, and verbal communication.
• Build tools and resources that empower teams with self-service data access, maximizing the reach of your expertise.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience in analytics and data science or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience applying statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience with A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and experimental design, translating results into actionable business decisions.
• Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret large data sets independently.
• Expertise in at least one data visualization tool (preferably Tableau).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional partners.
• Proven experience applying both data-backed heuristics and machine learning to solve business challenges.
• A track record of leading and contributing to cross-functional projects, working across multiple disciplines.
