Senior Portfolio Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Analyst to support the delivery of projects within the Digital Portfolio Delivery team, focusing on Corporate and Cyber Security initiatives. The successful candidate will provide financial analysis, project governance, and management across a wide range of stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

  • $750.00 a day Inclusive of superannuation
  • Exposure to working alongside one of Australia’s largest energy providers.
  • 12-month Day rate contract.
  • Australian Citizens only

THE ROLE:

  • Lead financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly accruals, cost allocations, and variance analysis, ensuring accurate financial management.
  • Collaborate with Project and Program Managers to develop and maintain project plans and control documents, establishing reporting cadences.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of methodologies, frameworks, tools, and templates, while supporting teams in their application.
  • Report on delivery performance, financials, risks, and issues, identifying gaps and recommending solutions to enhance portfolio performance.
  • Assist in the establishment, monitoring, and execution of key functions, including benefits management, quality assurance, and resource management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of portfolio health, addressing risks and constraints while improving processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication and issue management.
  • Provide program and project reporting aligned with governance meetings and stakeholder presentations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a PMO project environment with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in project-related financial analysis, reporting, and management.
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent knowledge of project financial management.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers in medium-sized organizations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with business systems and processes, and their interrelationships.
  • Proven ability in using analytical tools and principles to drive project success.
