Senior SecDevOps Engineer

Salt has partnered with one of Australia’s largest blue tick organisations to find a Senior SecDevOps Engineer. This opportunity will see you providing a range of services to the team, to customers and to key stakeholders within the organisation.

Design and develop ongoing secure software initiatives and improve the security posture of the organisation through your mature view of DevSecOps. Provide practical technical expertise and lead the design and development of secure software, infrastructure code and associated build and delivery pipelines.

About the opportunity

• Provide direction and strategic leadership to an established team of security professionals, helping with the assessment and development of security solutions as a key technical expert

• Design databases and environments to analyse incoming data, using predictive analytics and complex modelling to identify potential cyber security risks or threats

• Plan for the future; develop and build enterprise awareness of security policies, standards and procedures, ensuring they evolve as the threat environment evolves

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting is communicated to key stakeholders across the organisation

• Keep knowledge up to date, understanding emerging technologies and using this information to build an accurate view of security risk landscape

About you

• A trusted SME, able to delivery expert-level DevSecOps leadership, analyses, documentation and guidance to the organisation, covering the entire SDLC

• Hands on experience in crafting software and Infrastructure as Code, particularly using Python, Java, Kubernetes and Helm. Keeping up to date with modern software development tools and processes.

• Expert-level, hands-on experience with SCA and SAST security tool integration within CI/CD pipelines.

• Broad knowledge and experience of the major cloud service providers and the services they offer, particularly AWS.

• Experience with consulting, conducting technical and process analyses, and the crafting of documentation – including leveraging wikis along with traditional document formats.

• Exposure to various design and delivery methods & methodologies, including Waterfall, Lean, Agile and DevOps.
