Senior Software Engineer in Test

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of critical financial applications, contributing to the success of the business and the satisfaction of their customers.

About the Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies and plans. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software that meets stringent regulatory and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust test automation frameworks and strategies.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
• Identify, analyse, and report software defects and track them through to resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and quality from the early stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform performance, security, and load testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and integrate test automation into the build process.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain test data management strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Computer Science, Software Engineering background.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software Engineer in Test, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Typescript and Node.js
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with database testing (SQL).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) is highly desirable.
