ServiceNow Software Engineer

Salt is partnering with one of Australia’s largest telecommunication organisations in search of a ServiceNow Software Engineer.

As Software Engineer you will be responsible for actively contributing to the definition of solutions and assessment of ideas, utilising our deep experience in digital technologies and minimising outcome risk by accurately and continually estimating and reporting on progress and potential impediments to success.

About the role

• Develop, Deploy and improve specific technologies and their interaction with internal processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units
• Achieve a well-defined, functioning, and repeatable set of key business, with product owners and technology processes to ensure consistent quality is maintained
• Perform application performance, load analysis and assist in capacity planning as required to support the solution
• Peer Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements
• Learn new technologies quickly and able to implement the same
• Technology Assessments and Estimation of new features
• Participate into Technology POCs and technical forums to share knowledge

About you

• Degree level IT qualifications in Software or Systems Engineering
• Entry level experience in Full Stack development
• Good Experience in ServiceNow and having good knowledge of Integrations.
• Hands on experience with programming language JAVA and its latest features. Deep understanding of Java Internals such as its JDK and JREs.
• Understanding of Web Services development using REST (XML, JSON), version control (Git), micro-service development using lightweight Java frameworks and containers (Play Framework, Spring Boot)
• Understanding with Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines concepts. Enhancing and improving CI/CD capabilities to reduce cycle time while retaining quality.
• Understanding of any DB: Relational or NoSql databases (Oracle, Couchbase, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Comfortable solving complex problems related to implementations using API, SPAs and Cloud
• Experience in developing and maintaining agile continuous integration and delivery processes
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills as well as stakeholder management
• Experience working with SOAP or REST integration and well versed in either Splunk, Big Bucket or Spring Boot.
