The Company

Salt has teamed up with a Global SaaS organisation based in Melbourne who is currently seeking a Tech Lead to join one of their innovative Software Engineering teams on a permanent basis, starting ASAP.

Our client is currently going through an exciting period of growth and are in the process of building out a new hub as they look to revolutionise the Energy sector by building sustainable and affordable solutions, helping to reduce carbon emissions.

The Role

As a Tech Lead, you will:

• Be responsible for team uplift and ensure that overall delivery is met
• Be hands on and the technical lead for the development of the product
• Be experienced in full SDLC, including design and architecture
• Review and improve best practices and processes
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work closely with other Engineers, Solutions Architects and Business Stakeholders

Key Skills and Competencies:

The successful Tech Lead should have the following skill set:

• Previous experience in leading Software Engineering teams
• Extensive experience with various JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React.js, Angular)
• In depth experience with TypeScript
• Experience with one of the following Backend programming languages: Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Golang
• Strong knowledge working with AWS
• Experience working in an Agile /SCRUM environment
• Previous experience working on projects in the Utilities/Energy industry
• Full working rights in Australia
