Senior QA Engineer – Backend

We’re partnering with a major client within television broadcasting, who are looking for a Senior QA Engineer, to join their in-house development team at their exciting headquarters based in Munich.

You will be responsible for monitoring the technical services and API user processes, the design and implementation of automated test strategies, coding and unit testing, providing solution to non-functional requirements (like compatibility, performance), providing the metadata for the online appearances for some of Europe’s most popular brands, etc.

Your day to day:

· Monitoring technical services and API user processes, aiming at continuing optimising service quality

· Ensuring that the acceptance criteria are accurate, clear and well defined and convert the acceptance criteria into automated tests

· Supporting other teams testing their components against the interfaces

· Designing and implementing automated test strategies, tools and processes as part of the continuous integration and deployment pipelines

· Ensuring the quality of our meta-data management infrastructure

Qualifications:

· A university degree in computer science, information technology, media engineering or equivalent

· A solid professional working experience in software testing – especially Python

· Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools are processes

· Familiar with terms like RESTful, GraphQL, Git, Gitlab Ci, etc

· Passionate about code quality, automated software tests and automated deployments

· Good German and English skills

· Experience of working with AWS cloud services, especially serverless and containerized infrastructures
