My client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team, focusing on selling exhibition stands, event solutions and event rental equipment to companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly within the exhibition industry, and a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships. This role requires strategic planning, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, evaluate, and optimize annual, quarterly, and monthly sales planning and operational processes, monitoring sales progress.
- Develop and maintain prospect lists; conduct research and analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive environments to collaborate with the team in developing relevant show content and sales strategies.
- Plan and initiate show visits, both international and local; attend competitor events to gain insights on venue, pavilion, stand setups, and campaign techniques for new and key exhibitor sourcing.
- Customer Service and Relationship Management:
- Develop strong relationships with key clients.
- Provide ongoing exhibitor service throughout the event cycle, particularly for key accounts.
- Manage key accounts and rebookings to achieve targeted retention and rebooking rates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a sales position within the exhibition or events industry.
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience selling exhibition stands.
- Strong knowledge of custom exhibition stands and the exhibition industry.
