Azure Architecture Lead

Summary:

The Azure Architecture Lead will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our Azure-based cloud solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to architect and implement solutions that are robust, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Overall Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale solutions tailored to business requirements on Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our cloud architecture while aligning with business goals.
• Define and implement architecture frameworks, standards, and best practices for Azure adoption across the organization
• Ensure adherence to security best practices in cloud operations.

Technical Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure architecture components, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Cosmos DB.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for consistent, automated provisioning
• Design multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies for Azure.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud systems.
• Integrate cloud-based solutions with on-premises systems.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Optimize cloud storage solutions for performance and cost.
• Develop cloud-native security frameworks for compliance.
• Configure automated scaling solutions to handle workload fluctuations.
• Establish monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and third-party tools.
• Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimizations for storage, networking, and compute resources.
• Design high-performance data pipelines using cloud-native tools.
• Automate compliance audits for cloud infrastructure.
• Create and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, processes, and technical specifications.
• Preferred Certification in “Azure Solutions Architect Expert”.
