Data Architect

You will directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Big Data Architect will lead a team of consultants, both onshore and offshore, designing and delivering information management solutions for clients using traditional and big data techniques. This is a client facing role requiring exceptional communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate the business case for big data solutions to our clients.

Core skills (mandatory)

• Data Architecture
• Solution Architecture with focus on Big Data architecture; Requirements capture, conceptual and contextual architectures, technology selection, detailed design, planning and costing
• Apache Hadoop and knowledge of multiple distributions
• Data ingestion design including batch and real time architectures using tools like Kafka or equivalents.
• Data governance and metadata management.
• Data transformation technologies including but not limited to Spark, Python, Nifi.
• Data deployment experience on cloud native and hybrid cloud solutions
• Traditional ETL tools such as (DataStage, Informatica etc)
• Data Management
• Experience of data modelling and optimization for row and columnar based environments. Using tools such as Infosphere Data Architect, Erwin etc
• Data Governance approaches and technologies which cover Business Glossary, Metadata Management and Data Lineage
