Our client is a leading iGaming Consultancy organization, providing managed services and expert consultancy to iGaming operators. Position Overview:
Seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Payments Manager to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payment processing and management for their iGaming clients. You will ensure efficient, secure, and compliant transactions while optimizing payment strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payments Strategy & Management:
    Develop and implement payment strategies for clients in the iGaming industry, ensuring the seamless execution of payment processes across multiple platforms. Identify opportunities to enhance payment operations and streamline payment workflows.
  • Payment Systems & Integration:
    Oversee the integration of various payment gateways, processors, and methods into client platforms. Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth and secure payment experiences for players.
  • Vendor & Partner Management:
    Manage relationships with payment service providers, banks, and other financial institutions. Negotiate terms, monitor service-level agreements (SLAs), and address any performance issues or disputes that arise.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
    Ensure that all payment operations comply with relevant industry regulations, including KYC, AML, and other financial regulatory frameworks. Stay up to date with payment compliance requirements specific to iGaming jurisdictions.
  • Transaction Monitoring & Risk Management:
    Oversee the monitoring of financial transactions to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. Identify high-risk areas, implement mitigation strategies, and work with the Risk and Fraud teams to address any issues.
  • Customer Experience:
    Focus on enhancing the customer experience by improving payment processing times, offering multiple payment options, and ensuring secure transactions. Respond to client or player payment-related inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Payment Reporting & Analytics:
    Generate detailed reports on payment processing performance, trends, and issues. Analyze payment data to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights to senior management and clients.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Research and stay updated on emerging payment technologies, trends, and market conditions in the iGaming sector. Propose and implement payment innovations that improve the efficiency and security of payment operations.
  • Dispute Resolution & Chargebacks:
    Oversee the handling of payment disputes, chargebacks, and reversals. Develop processes for reducing chargebacks and other payment-related issues while maintaining positive relationships with payment providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in payments management, preferably within the iGaming, e-commerce, or fintech sectors.
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, gateways, and processors in the iGaming space.
  • Knowledge of relevant compliance regulations, including AML, KYC, and GDPR, as they relate to payment processing.
  • Experience in vendor and partner management, with a strong track record of negotiating and managing relationships with financial service providers.
  • Analytical skills with experience in payment data analysis, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex payment-related issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams, clients, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a variety of payment providers (e.g., credit cards, e-wallets, cryptocurrencies, bank transfers).
  • Familiarity with iGaming platforms, payment APIs, and integration processes.
  • Knowledge of international payment systems and cross-border transactions.
  • Certification in payments, fintech, or a related field.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
