Freelance Graphic Designer

This is a remote role, but you must be based in NYC for weekly catch ups in person. Other than that – you can work from anywhere!

So who am I looking for, for them?

I’m looking looking for an experienced and talented Senior Designer to who is going to work right across digital and print creative solutions to address their clients’ marketing needs.

This designer will have in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques as well as experience executing marketing projects from conception to production.

Ultimately, the successful designer will promote their clients’ brands through delivering high quality pieces on tight deadlines.

This will be a full work load, as in 40 hours a week. It can either be a contract (paid by the hour) or a permanent salary – this client is open and flexible to finding the right person and creating the best arrangement for them.

So what will you be responsible for?

• Carry out efficient visual execution of creative concepts, as outlined by Creative Lead
• Design and develop original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
• Refine images, fonts and layouts using current design tools and software – Adobe, sketch etc.
• Apply typography techniques
• Generate ideas to portray concepts and advertise products/services
• Increase user friendliness in digital products
• Maintain brand consistency throughout all of their clients’ materials
• Liaise with project management, marketing and design teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and tools

What I’m looking for;

• Impressive portfolio of completed design projects
• Strong digital background and ability to design across all mediums – print, digital etc.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) knowledge of Sketch a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills – you’re a team player that can communicate well with the team as well as direct with clients
• Professional demeanour with high degree of comfort speaking with internal clients
• Detail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work
• Sense of urgency and ability to handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Manage time effectively to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Have flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, shifting deadlines, and fluid priorities
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Experience in healthcare/scientific design work is a plus
