Financial Manager

With a core focus on reliability, value, and consistent service delivery, this company is entering an exciting growth phase – and they’re looking for a Financial Manager to help lead the charge

The Opportunity:

You’ll join a close-knit, collaborative finance team where roles aren’t siloed but shaped around organisational needs and individual strengths. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will see you operating at both strategic and operational levels – refining processes, driving automation, ensuring regulatory compliance across jurisdictions, and partnering with cross-functional teams (think tech, product, and customer service) to elevate the financial landscape.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Leading and collaborating across the finance function, providing cross-coverage including as back-up to the Head of Finance.
• Driving system improvements and financial process automation.
• Playing a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual control procedures.
• Being a sparring partner to leadership by contributing to strategic and tactical decision-making.
• Ensuring robust financial reporting aligned to IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and relevant local standards (SA and EU).

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified CA(SA) (or equivalent) with 8+ years’ experience in audit and senior finance roles.
• A strong understanding of financial reporting standards and cross-border finance (exposure to DTA’s, WTA’s, and transfer pricing).
• Tech-savvy with solid experience in tools like Sage Evolution, People, and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills – you’re a trusted advisor who can present data-backed insights with clarity.
• Someone who values humility, integrity, and continuous learning.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience operating in the Maltese business environment.
• Prior involvement in ERP system implementation or upgrades.
