🌟 Exciting & Urgent Opportunity: Warehouse and Operations Manager 🌟
As the Warehouse and Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be supervising the day-to-day functions of the Somerset West Warehouse. This includes, but not limited to managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and coordinating logistics.
You will be leading a team of warehouse personnel and collaborate closely with various departments to ensure the company’s operational standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.
Your role includes the implementation and enhancement of processes, efficient space utilisation, and the maintenance of a secure and well-organised work environment. You should be detailed orientated and able to handle various aspects of warehouse operations simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and logistics.
- In charge of the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff and do the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and coordinate physical inventory audits.
- Implement and improve operational processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations are in order.
- Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in warehouse and operations management.
- Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- 7-10years’ experience in warehousing / operations of which at least 5 years should be in senior management
- Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Operations / Warehousing / Logistics
- Tertiary qualification in Management
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software
- Knowledge of stock-taking systems and understand warehousing, logistics, and operations
- Proven track record of managing, leading, and developing the capability of a team
- Knowledge of disciplinary procedures and health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations
- Valid driver’s license
