We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a proven track record of building and
managing high-impact partnerships at the executive level.
This role requires at least 12+ years experience and an influential network in South Africa, capable of driving strategic collaborations and unlocking new partnership opportunities. Your focus will be on leading partnerships for safety products and fixed location portfolio, targeting businesses with large subscriber bases and significant asset portfolios, which are retrieving value from tapping into the companies medical and security response network.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Value-Added Services (VAS) and strong knowledge of monetization strategies like subscription models, freemium, pay-per-use, and ad-supported services, and their impact on service provider revenues.
Key Contributions:
● Strategic Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to grow companies presence in South Africa, with a focus on sectors such as infrastructure, large retail chains, and loyalty programmes.
● High-Level Client Acquisition: Leverage an established network to secure high-value partnerships that align with companies expansion goals.
● Executive Relationship Management: Build and nurture senior-level relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
● VAS Expertise: Leverage knowledge of Value-Added Services to create new partnership models that enhance offerings and open up new revenue streams.
● Leadership and Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that sales efforts are aligned with organizational objectives.
● Innovative Sales Strategy: Craft and execute sales strategies tailored to the South African market, focusing on scalable partnership and VAS models.
Qualifications:
● Extensive experience in business development, particularly in driving partnerships.
● Strong understanding of Value-Added Services (VAS) in the telco or related industries is a plus
● Familiarity with various monetization strategies and how they influence service provider revenues.
