Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team who enjoys working with data, is comfortable performing complex analysis and translating data into actionable insights that inform strategy and design. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for engaging with internal business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure objectives, priorities and key requirements are agreed upon and understood. The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with the supporting Engineering Manager in establishing new patterns, standards, processes and procedures for our client’s solution and data community. They will specialize in data integration and data warehousing concepts to extract data from disparate sources and transform it as per business requirement and load the required tables that can be consumed downstream. Helping design and build solutions, communicating to both technical and business teams at a client and conveying solutions to business requirements.

● SQL Server

● NoSQL (Hbase, Cassandra or Mongo DB)

● Cloud Based Databases(Hive, Cosmos DB, Dynamo DB)

● Database Development Experience Views, functions, stored procedures,

● Optimisation of queries, building indexes, OLAP /MDX

● Cloud AWS / Azure / GCP /Snowflake ● ETL SSIS, IBM DataStage / SAP Data Services / ● Informatica or similar ● Programming SQL (TSQL /HQL etc) ● Python ● Spark / Kafka / RabbitMQ ● UNIX & Shell Commands (Python / shell / Perl) is a plus ● 3rd Normal Form / OLAP / MDX) ● Big Data Hadoop Platform (Cloudera / cloud equivalent) ● HiveQL /Spark / Oozie / Impala / Pig) ● Streaming (NiFi / Kafka)
