Research & Development Team Executive

Have you been working in the telecommunications space for some time now? But do you have experience on delivering OSS/BSS solutions and VAS to a global client book of telecoms operators? If you answered no to the second part, then keep reading this spec as it might be the role for you!

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Research and Development portfolio in the telecommunications OSS/BSS environment.
• Implement, track, and optimize R&D initiatives, focusing on enhancing existing products and planning future technology roadmaps.
• Coordinate graduate program activities and manage new opportunities.
• Maximize the R&D pipeline as a self-driven professional with a passion for success and customer focus.
• Implement R&D processes, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Actively contribute to product strategy and engage at a senior level.
• Support Sales, Product, Marketing, and the Executive team with expert knowledge.
• Communicate progress and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Work with partners to extend sales efforts and find inventive commercial solutions.
• Provide direction to the internal technical team, track projects, and define resource requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in telecommunications and a related role.
• Qualifications in engineering, telecommunications, project management desirable.
• Experience launching multiple products from concept to commercialization.
• Working knowledge of quality documentation management systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, understanding communications software, and network architectures.
• Technical awareness, hands-on configuration capability, and experience with system integrators.
• Understanding of integration techniques and international markets.
• Willingness to travel for sales calls and related activities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a bonus.
