SAP Finance Technical Delivery Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Technical Delivery Lead to take ownership of SAP S/4HANA Finance-related systems and drive technical delivery, change management, and support across a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a candidate with strong SAP service delivery expertise and a deep understanding of SAP Financial and Procurement modules.

You will lead a team of SAP technical experts, developers, analysts, and support specialists to ensure stable operations, effective enhancements, and successful project implementations. Your ability to manage competing priorities, influence strategy, and deliver value through seamless SAP operations will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage end-to-end technical delivery for SAP S/4HANA Finance, Procurement, and related modules.
• Lead the assessment, allocation, and resolution of system requests and incidents (via JIRA or similar).
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of business-as-usual (BAU) and project-related change requests.
• Maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, escalations, and delivery cadence.
• Manage system upgrade and maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption and maximum performance.
• Enforce adherence to release management, incident response, and change control governance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (configurators, developers, testers, infrastructure, security) to deliver robust and scalable SAP solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor during solution design phases; validate architecture and guide implementation.
• Ensure compliance with IT audit, security, and user access management standards.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors contributing to the SAP platform or related services.
• Provide mentorship and direction to SAP Finance technical team members.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• ITIL certification (or equivalent) preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in SAP service delivery and technical operations.
• At least 5 years of hands-on support experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and related modules.
• Proven involvement in a minimum of 5 full life cycle SAP S/4HANA projects.

Technical Knowledge & Tools:

• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI, CO), Procurement (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Project Systems (PS).
• Familiarity with SAP Data Services and SAP Insurance Analyzer is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of system change and release management (JIRA or similar tools).
• Working knowledge of ABAP and SAP Fiori is beneficial.
• Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
