What will you do?

As an SAP HCM Technical Lead, you will oversee and manage the technical support and delivery within SAP ECC HCM and SuccessFactors platforms. Reporting to the SAP Centre of Expertise (CoE), you will ensure seamless service delivery, system governance, and alignment with operational goals.

This role focuses on supporting Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS), which serves numerous internal businesses and handles HR and payroll processes, service desk operations, change requests, and system troubleshooting. You will lead a team of developers, testers, and security specialists to deliver system changes, both for business-as-usual tasks and projects.

Additionally, you will oversee system upgrades, ensure audit compliance, and design high-impact system solutions while mentoring and guiding your team to success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and allocate JIRA requests, ensuring prioritization and alignment with client needs.
  • Conduct periodic client meetings for updates, prioritization, and escalations.
  • Oversee resource levelling to address incoming and backlog tasks effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to Release, Incident, and SAP Change Management procedures.
  • Maintain audit compliance for user access and change management.
  • Address all SAP HCM legislative changes and oversee periodic system upgrades.
  • Support governance and principles established by the SAP CoE.
  • Provide technical guidance to system analysts when designing solutions.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • ITIL Certification (or similar) preferred.

Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of SAP service delivery and planning (timelines, resources).
  • Technical expertise in SAP Payroll, Time Management, Personnel Administration, and Organisational Management.
  • Technical knowledge of SuccessFactors modules: Onboarding, Recruiting, and Employee Central.
  • Familiarity with SAP Self-Service applications and SuccessFactors Talent modules (advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of system change management tools (JIRA or similar).
  • Understanding of Waterfall methodology; Agile knowledge is a plus.
  • SAP ABAP knowledge is advantageous.

Experience

  • At least 8 years in SAP Service Delivery and/or SAP HCM Team Leadership.
  • Minimum of 5 years in technical support for SAP HCM and/or SuccessFactors.
  • Participation in 2-3 full life-cycle SAP HCM implementation projects.
