Application hosting, Operating systems, Servers, OSI 7 layer model, SOA & Middleware * Cloud, IT Security, Service & Support Models * Use of modelling tools e.g. Rational System Architect Desirable Technical Skills

Essential Competencies
Competencies essential as a Technical Solutions Architect:
leading, guiding and supporting the design and delivery of enterprise-wide IT solutions for Business Processes, Data and Technology
TECHNOLOGY: Complexity of changing multiple aspects of already deployed systems whilst maintaining business continuity
BUSINESS: Business domain knowledge (banking sector)
PROCESSES: Comprehensive knowledge of cross-functional processes
DATA: Knowledge of GDPR Desirable Competencies
Security: Understanding of security requirements in relation to protection of data and across networks.

Essential Industry / Project specific experience

• SQL Server
• Oracle products sets
• Windows Server and Operating system
• Linux
• Desirable Industry / Project specific experience
• Financial services preferred
• PCI regulations and impacts

Skills essential under Architecture:

• Stakeholder management
• Documentation & approvals of architecture artefacts
• Collaboration with Enterprise Architecture & other domain architects
• Understanding of & alignment with the governance structure throughout the project lifecycle
• Leadership skills working with management, technical architects and business end-users on change management and new technology deployments Desirable Other
