Director of Product Design

Up to £150,000 P/A + Bonus | Central London | ASAP Start

My client is a global Martech application with hubs in London, San Francisco, Singapore, and Sydney. They’re looking for a Director of Product Design with the ability to lead their global design team. As an experienced leader, you will be responsible for driving the product design vision for the company’s entire product catalog and ensuring the team, processes and strategy are in place, ensuring a world-class, delightful user experience for both the clients and end-users.

You’ll have experience managing and mentoring a mid-sized studio of product designers, integrated designers and UX/UI designers (preferably globally) and will be confident in championing visually stunning and pixel-perfect experiences that are also functional and easy-to-use. This is a position for a hands-on director who can lead by example.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and mentor the design team as it grows with the company

* Defining and owning the entire design process in order to drive high-quality product design to short deadlines.

* Overseeing the building of a strong user/customer research program that validates design problems and solutions.

* Leading design team reviews.

* Working collaboratively with product managers and developers to bring your teams work to life.

Skills & Qualifications

* Previous experience as a team leader

* Experience setting up user research programs and testing methodologies.

* 7-10 years of designing consumer, enterprise and/or mobile user experiences. Experience with B2B SaaS products preferable.

* Previous experience drafting a product design vision that has been communicated effectively across an organisation.

* An online portfolio which demonstrates your results, your process, and way of thinking about user experience and product design
