Senior Wayfinding Designer

We are working with a globally recognized design firm with expertise in crafting exceptional sport and entertainment venues that unite individuals and communities for memorable experiences.

They are currently in search of innovative and adaptable wayfinding designers. In this role, the primary responsibilities include formulating wayfinding strategies, crafting designs for signs and sign families, and seamlessly integrating these elements across sports and entertainment architecture and the built environment.

As an integral part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team, candidates will collaborate with various design disciplines within the studio to refine wayfinding strategies and sign families. This opportunity is well-suited for designers with previous experience in this field, collaborating with a dynamic mix of wayfinding strategists, industrial designers, graphic designers, and project architects. Beyond standard program knowledge, familiarity with user-centered design principles would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with wayfinding, industrial, and architectural design teams
• Crafting and refining wayfinding strategies
• Designing sign families
• Implementing strategies across wayfinding and signage schemes
• Conducting design and project research
• Producing reports, drawings, and documentation
• Skills and Experience:
• Bachelors and/or Masters degree in a design-related field
• Relevant experience in reputable agencies
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt
• Flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to thrive under pressure
• Experience in collaborating on wayfinding projects alongside architects and industrial designers
• Solid understanding of typography and graphic design principles
• Proficiency in usability and user-centered design
• Track record of working with design guidelines
• Exceptional written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills
• Confidence in presenting work and effectively managing project timelines
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
• Proactive and collaborative mindset, excelling under pressure
• Proficient in at least: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Familiarity with CAD, BIM, Rhino, or similar skills is highly valued.
