Senior UI Designer – Gaming / Entertainment – Up to £65k +Bonus

My client are a fast growing gaming / entertainment firm and the UX/Design department needs to keep pace! Therefore, an opportunity exists to be part of delivering future products of the brand. The Design department play a crucial role in driving a customer first approach in which they exceed, not merely meet, their customer, regulator and commercial expectations.

As part of the wider design department the UI team work closely with UX Architects to ensure the ongoing delivery of designs for cross channel sites and apps including new features as well as ongoing improvements and production maintenance.

Key Responsibilities of this role are:

• Creating high quality visual designs for new and existing websites, apps and features
• Transforming and developing wireframes into engaging digital designs
• Defining multi-platform interactive experiences that excite users
• Aligning designs with existing styleguides and brand guidelines
• Working with fluid grid systems and responsive design
• Presenting work to the team and Business Stakeholders, clearly articulating rationale behind design decisions
• Working closely with Front End Developers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and in line with stakeholder expectations
• Mentoring and potentially managing junior members of the team

Skills, knowledge and experience…

• Expert in producing high quality, cross platform UI designs (Photoshop, Illustrator and Sketch)
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies and the implications these have on site and app design
• Creates cross channel UI documentation that clearly communicates all elements of an interface
• Ability to create high fidelity prototypes for user testing, communicating user flows and defining interactions and animations
• Experience of working with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, UX Researchers being comfortable participating and leading cross functional workshops
• Energetic & friendly with an appetite to learn and educate
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A team player who can work independently and manage your own time

Desirable skills:

• Experience designing multi-lingual, large scale b2c ecommerce websites with a CMS base
• Experience with usability testing and user research techniques
• Knowledge of white label websites and reskinning
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS, JS and CMS systems
• Design and development of service and marketing emails
