THE ROLE
We’re hiring for a consultative Insight Analyst to join this brand new team, delivering bespoke segments and customer insights to end suppliers, for this national retailer.
As part of this brand new team, you’ll support on the data monetisation and insight piece for FMCG suppliers, selling bespoke segments and insights services. You’ll work with Gold Tier suppliers such as Samsung, Lego and Amazon to help inform decisions around media plans, pricing, promotions, products and category in order to improve customer spend and engagement.
You will focus on building super strong relationships with stakeholders, driving revenue from the suppliers.
This really is a blank canvas for the right person, with the opportunity to work highly consultatively with important stakeholders in some of the world’s most influential brands.

Working amongst one of the largest data functions in retail, you’ll have the opportunity to diversify, grow and develop both your technical and softer skills, leveraging their development framework, built to harmonize all their technical and soft skills training into one accessible programme for all – part of their ongoing commitment to employee training and development.

Skills and experience required:
· Educated to degree level or higher in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or Computer Science).
· An advanced user of SQL with the ability to code from scratch.
· Exposure to data visualisation tools and building out engaging dashboards using PowerBI, Qlik, Looker, Tableau or similar
· Experienced in mining large and complex customer data sets – both structured and unstructured.
· Experience of employing both simple and complex analytical techniques (e.g. forecasting, regression, clustering etc) to solve business problems and answer business questions.
· A background in customer or marketing analytics is essential, ideally specifically CRM or loyalty.
· Experience within a retail environment is highly desirable.
