Travel is poised to be one of the boom sectors going into 2023, with huge investment entering this space as the industry expects the increased demand of summer 2022 to continue.
Using this investment, this leading Airline / Travel business has identified major gains to be had across a number of key projects in the data space. With ambitions to grow the global team to over 100 heads, this could be the biggest data engineering development in the industry right now!
We’re looking to bring in a manager to help lead advanced, talented and technical strong teams through design and build pieces across areas including trading intelligence, retail pricing, performance marketing, customer contact, finance, operational optimization and real-time cloud integration.
You’ll be a key voice for defining these current developments, using your expertise to advise on best practice – from coding to strategy. You’ll be the over-the-shoulder mentor, guiding the team on their use of Python, SQL and the Google Cloud Platform. There is an on-going migration to a GCP/Snowflake/DBT system, with reporting in Tableau.

Key Skills
– Python, SQL, GCP (or Azure/AWS), Snowflake, DBT, Tableau
– Experience designing and building data pipelines and infrastructure, data modelling
– Experience building, growing and developing data engineering teams
