£60000.00 - £70000.00 per annumThe Global Supply Procurement function plays a key role in fuelling growth and value, every day, everywhere.
This role sits within the Global Logistics team, reporting to the Head of Global Supply & Sustainability Procurement, and is accountable for +£130m annualised spend.
The purpose of the role is to deliver Procurement outcomes within the Ocean Freight & Air-freight categories of spend, through effective business partnering and collaboration across Procurement CoEs. This includes (but is not limited to):
· Applying strategic procurement excellence through creation of category strategies built on Diageo’s best methods, standards, and tools to deliver procurement value.
· Leading or supporting Sourcing activities for specific categories of spend procured Globally.
· Developing subject-matter expertise for Ocean specific spend, supporting collection and leverage of supply market expertise and intel to clearly direct value-add procurement & sourcing.
The Global Category Manager is accountable for leading a global community of procurement professionals in the logistics spend categories, including joining regular meetings, driving alignment around strategy, supporting development of own and others’ capabilities & expertise and sharing of best practices.
