The Role

The purpose of the Market Insight Manager is to provide strategic guidance and direction to inform business decision making and in particular to proposition development. By undertaking strategic market analyses, secondary and primary research, you will be pursuing opportunities which are commercially viable, customer focused and deliver competitive advantage.

Main Job Responsibilities

· Compile and synthesize key trends, competitor/broker activity, threats and opportunities in chosen areas of focus based on continuous monitoring of the external market

· Work with Finance, Strategy and other key stakeholder groups to form a view of capabilities and performance and therefore inform decision making for proposition development

· Research, monitor and collate competitor activity to develop both an ongoing view of threats and opportunities as well as to inform specific proposition development and go-to-market strategies

· Manage qualitative research to generate insights necessary to support proposition development

· Manage multiple data and insight sources to synthesize a single coherent narrative in response to business issues and drive decisions

· Undertake customer journey mapping to support the development of propositions in line with target audience needs and expectations

· Problem solver – capacity to get to the heart of business issues and look to multiple sources to come up with pragmatic solutions

· Collaborative – strong inter-personal skills and the ability to foster cross-team collaboration in order to achieve outcomes supported by virtual and multi-disciplinary teams

· Strong communicator – proficient storyteller, being able to see through large and varied information sources and convey clear, compelling messages

· Change agent – using insights gained from strategic analysis to challenge and provoke the business to constantly improve our propositions and service delivery to brokers and customers

· Technical Expert – deep and practical understanding of strategic frameworks, analytical tools and market insight methodologies
