Scientific Copywriter

My client is a forward thinking medical research company who is looking for a skilled Scientific Copywriter to join their team. This company has been established for just over a few years now and is creating cutting-edge science through the means of genetics.

The future of medical research can massively benefit with this technology by identifying at risk groups and targeting preventive medicine. They provide genome sequencing and analysis for many research participants and you can use your own data to understand your unique genetic makeup.

This person will be part of a small marketing team directing reporting into the Head of Marketing and solely responsible for all content, blogs and web content.

It is crucial that this person understands biology, genetics and can translate that into long and short copy for the company. You will be working closely with your line manager as well as other senior stakeholders in the organisation.

You must have experience in:

• Leading on all content and copy
• Creating, editing and owning copy across all touch points
• Responsible for hands-on aspect of posting content across channels
• Creating both long and short form content – from blog editorial to push notifications
• Collaborating within a small team and managing copy direction in line with the marketing strategy
• Maintaining a consistent tone and style appropriate for our target group and brand, across all channels
• Building content and strategy.

You must have:

• 3-5 years’ experience in copy-writing
• Experience in scientific writing in biology or genetics.
• Interest in biology with a degree or previous background
