Communications Executive

Salt is collaborating with a UK Charity as they seek to hire a Communications Executive on an asap starting contract which will be fully remote operating but they have a London base if you prefer the hybrid balance too!

During your time in the role, you will support in elevating their brand awareness by leveraging media and social media platforms. Reporting to the Communications Manager, you’ll be an integral part of their Communication team, identifying petitions with strong narratives, creating impactful content, and developing relationships with external parties.

Expertise in implementing social media strategies and cultivating relationships would be hugely advantageous here as they actively seek to reignite their social channels. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic communicator who is passionate about making a difference and is eager to contribute to a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discover petitions with the potential to tell powerful stories that align with their brand mission and values, driving greater visibility.
• Identify and engage with externals for media coverage opportunities. Maintain and regularly update the media database.
• Produce compelling high-quality public relations content and successfully pitching stories. Ability to draft and deliver content for press releases, the website, and social media.
• Prepare petition starters for media interviews to ensure effective communication of their stories.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with external parties who can enhance the brand’s visibility through their coverage.
• Develop and implement impactful social media strategies to increase online awareness and engagement with the brand – and cultivating relationships.
• Use your advanced writing skills to adapt to diverse audiences and platforms.
