Digital Communications Manager

Salt is excited to collaborate with this Government Dept Client as they seek to hire a driven and highly collaborative Digital Communications Manager to join their team on an immediate starting contract role. Harnessing the power of Microsoft 365, you will deliver invaluable support to the internal communications team on a project focused on adoption and change on a large business-wide programme – overseeing accountability for delivering and developing strategic digital internal comms and engagment, maximising return on investment in existing channels.

The ideal contractor will hold prior experience working with MS 365 – how it works and staying on the beat of any upcoming changes, communications via SharePoint and designing of sites as in this role you will be translating information to engagement material online at speed, analysing their current process and looking for opportunities to improve these internal processes moving forward.

Key Role Requirements:

• Support the development and execution of the Employee Comms and Engagement plan for digital channels
• Be the business owner for the consolidation project, working closely with a range of different stakeholders
• Own, manage and educate the communication of digital content channels
• Develop standards and governance for digital channels, tools and applications to meet legal and business user needs
• Be accountable for driving continuous improvement and innovation across digital engagement
• Manage one direct report

Key Skills Required:

• Essential prior implementation of MS 365, strong technical knowledge and understanding
• Strong understanding of social, user-generated content approaches to support employee engagement
• Knowledge and understanding of internal digital users’ needs and requirements
• Prior experience in managing digital content platforms
• Knowledge of web tech and their use in corporate environments
• Be a results driven individual, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
