Overview:

We’re seeking a talented Internal Communications Lead to join an ambitious and inventive team within a well-known retailer. This is a single contributor role (with ample resources) and an exciting opportunity to shape internal communications strategies and foster a positive workplace culture within our organisation. As part of their newly established Learning & Development team, you’ll play a crucial role in championing success stories, promoting employee wellbeing, and aligning our values with everyday practices. You will do a full review on the current practises, tools and content and infuse a new lease of life into Internal Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement internal communications plans to enhance employee engagement and morale.
• Collaborate closely with the wider communications team to ensure consistency and alignment with company objectives.
• Shape the role and the team, infusing passion and personal contribution into our internal communications strategy.
• Champion success stories, promote employee wellbeing, and align values with everyday practices.
• Oversee platforms, content, and audits to ensure effective communication strategies.
• Report to the Head of Learning & Development and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in internal communications, preferably within a similar industry.
• Can take on a single contributor role to cover all areas of internal comms from strategy to delivery
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to drive engagement and alignment
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and graphic design concepts.
• Passion for promoting employee wellbeing and fostering a positive workplace culture.
