Taxonomy Specialist

We are currently looking for a Taxonomy Specialist who will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining structured systems for organizing and retrieving content for a world leading fashion brand!

The Taxonomy Specialist will have a variety of responsibilities related to maintaining structured systems within their organization. Some typical duties include researching and designing taxonomy structure, designing and implementing taxonomy architecture, optimizing taxonomy schemes to create the best experience for consumers and employers, performing extensive research relating to their systems, serving as the primary contributors to research regarding data, managing relevant projects, monitoring taxonomy development, collaborating with content personalization product teams, system architects, researching and assigning metadata to data schemes, providing advice regarding navigation, and assisting with the design and implementation of taxonomy tests.

This position requires a person who is highly analytical and strategic and has strong project management skills. This person should also have expert proofreading, communication, organizational, and research skills.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing, mapping, evaluating, and implementing taxonomies for users.
• Act as expert for hierarchy, leaf nodes, data schema, and metadata monitoring.
• Workshop/Liaise/Educate internal users on taxonomy and data quality policies.
• Test user interface and update taxonomy to present information clearly and well.
• Work with users to understand concepts, needs, usability, and potential problems.
• Review, curate and maintain tags across Product AND Content Data.
• Taxonony Rationalisation.

The role is:

• Fully remote
• Outside IR35
• Up to £400 per day
• 3-6 Month Contract
• Starting end of February
