Job Title: Account Manager – Enterprise Technology Distributor

Location: Basingstoke, UK (Office-Based)

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Account Manager to join their team.

Role Overview:

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and customers. The role requires a proactive and strategic approach to achieving sales targets and driving customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly and annual gross profit (GP) targets set by the business.
  • Develop a full understanding of all accounts, while creating and executing growth plans within each account.
  • Continuously hunt for new prospects within key growth markets and technologies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with other departments to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Support vendor & commercial-led initiatives and activities as required.
  • Take advantage of and implement learnings from all education and training opportunities provided by the business and vendors.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure personal and professional objectives are met.
  • Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term business plans in alignment with company goals.
  • Maintain an organised and structured approach to account management.
  • Meet all base role metrics and KPIs.
  • Competently articulate and demonstrate the company’s value proposition.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in an account management, sales, or business development role within the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions, including server, storage, and infrastructure products.
  • Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and data-driven decision-making processes.
