Senior IT System Engineer – Backup and Archiving (Cohesity, VMware, Nutanix, DELL ECS) – Brussels

Duration: 6-12 months

Rate: 500 – 800 per day

Remote working is available, have to be onsite in Brussels for workshops and team meetings

UK contractor: Inside of IR35

Role

This position is centred on the management, support and evolution of the Cohesity Backup and Dell ECS Archive Solutions and Hypervisor technology (VMware) in a 24/7 production environment.

One of the goals of the role will also be to design and build automation solutions for the virtual infrastructure services offered by the team in order to reduce manual efforts and increase team efficiency.

Your responsabilities:

• Support the team to deliver a consistent technology strategy and life-cycle management plan for our infrastructures, in particular the Cohesity, Dell EMC networker, DataDomain & Dell EMC S3 infrastructure;
• Develop solutions based on analysis of business and technical requirements;
• Develop architecture and design of projects.
• Develop effective relationships relationship with other key IT experts;
• Work in coordination with the Product Owner, Solution Architects and with other teams/tribes.

Your profile:

Technical skills

Proven experience in the IT world (Storage, Distributed, Converged, Hyper-Converged and Virtualized infrastructures);

• Expert knowledge of backup platforms, with at least 2y experience with Cohesity in larger IT Environments
• Expert in Object Based Storage (Dell ECS)
• Expert in Backup platforms (Cohesity, Networker/DataDomain)
• Development skills and experience, more specifically in Ansible Tower environments
• Knowledge on Mobius is an asset
• Programming languages: Python, PowerShell

Languages: Fluent English is mandatory

Complimentary Experience & Competences:

• Expert in VMWare and Nutanix
• Understanding of the client production processes and Distributed technical environment is an advantage
• Understanding of Network technical environments (Cisco ACI) is an asset
