About the Role

I am working with truly one of the most exciting Fin-tech businesses in England right now, helping them find a mid-to-senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in London (remote flex).

The client is a new disruptive business bank, who are powered by one of the largest banks in the U.K. They have been operating for just over three years as an account and are now going through a stage of growth, looking for problem-solving engineers to join them as they transition into a fully stand-alone ‘Neobank’.

Tech stack: AWS/GCP | Kubernetes | Terraform | OWASP | MITRE ATT&CK | NIST

Role & Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve detection and visibility for security events across our cloud infrastructure
  • Promote and implement new security initiatives, trial new security tools
  • Deliver continuous improvement to our cloud platform security while balancing security against other business requirements
  • Work closely with other teams to review and drive security improvements

Required Skill

  • Strong knowledge of AWS and / or GCP
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform or other declarative infrastructure paradigms
  • Good understanding of network design and distributed computing
  • Good working knowledge of containers and / or kubernetes
  • Good working knowledge of CI/CD
  • Good understanding and knowledge of common industry cyber security frameworks, standards and methodologies, including; OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK and NIST is essential
