Senior Business Analyst, Disruptive Start-up

My client is an incredibly innovative start-up, working on a brand-new product which will completely disrupt and transform the marketplace. The founders of this business are incredibly well known in this sector and sold their last organisation for £1.5 billion from nothing! – They are aiming to triple the success and value with this new venture, something you can be a part of too!

THE ROLE

Looking for an enthusiastic Business Analyst, who will build the BA function who will soon enough build a team of 6 BA’s under him or her. You will be the vital link between their product teams and the wider business. You will support a cross-functional teams and development teams to help guide its growth, refine their processes and support the team so it can build the best product and experiences for their customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build the business analysis function along with a team of BA’s in fast paced Agile start up environment
• Business Requirements Gathering including User Stories and Process Models (primarily Epics I suppose) – all that is required to enable the Engineering Team to move the piece through to the development.
• Develop the SDLC from documentation to process alongside the Head of Engineering
• Liaise where required with external “customers” and / or Stakeholders to obtain and record requirements.
• Draw from your practical experience to produce highest quality data analysis, business insights and recommendations to be used by the business to inform decision making and guide strategy for business optimisation and growth
• Prepare business case documentation where appropriate to pass a development piece from concept through to backlog (board approval).
• Really refine requirements through from stakeholders including providing initial estimates for value, cost and dependencies
• Create user stories and translate high-level business solutions into technical specifications
• Work in an agile team with a ‘hands-on’ approach, with the potential to lead agile meetings and deputise for Product Managers when needed
• Identify issues and opportunities, and acting as a bridge between different teams

THE IDEAL experience

• Can Thrive in start-up (fast paced) environment with little supervision
• Is extremely articulate with an eye for detail. We are looking for 1st class documentation
• Experience working in a B2B business
• Experience around Data, CRM
• Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into analytical insights
• Experienced in build and leading teams of BA’s
• Is comfortable to challenge and debate whilst gathering requirements, (in a respectful way)
