My client are one of the UK’s largest online retail fashion companies looking for a talented Senior Business Analyst. This Global eCommerce company have invested in Analytics significantly to better understanding their customer over the last 3 years. This role is another key hire and will be tasked with the build-out of a new Insights and Analytics products to support customer service utilising the vast amount of online data they have.

Please note this is not a Data Analyst role, you will spend 70% of your time speaking to different stakeholders old and in particular new as the business grows expediential. The data element is a huge benefit (some of those skills listed below) but it’s the core business Analysis skills and what makes a good BA that were looking for.

Desired Experience

· Work closely with our clients stakeholders from all areas of the company to understand business problems to influence prioritisation of backlog items in alignment of enterprise wide strategies and what brings the most business benefit

· Understand business processes and work with business and technical teams on improving them

· Elicit and validate the non-functional requirements, including performance, implementation design, usability, security & audit, and appropriate legislative requirements. Communicating the requirements using appropriate documentation

· Responsible for understanding and eliciting the requirements within the area of data across entirety of the company and transferring them into stories within Azure Devops

· Work with the Data Leadership team and business stakeholders to identify and define the business priorities based on business problem- able to express the context of the change within the business strategy and BI Roadmap

· Coordinating user acceptance testing

· Understanding the use of data to add a business lens to data validation

· Work in collaboration with project managers, solution architects, data engineers and QA analysts in delivering data outputs to business users in a variety of areas

· Supporting the team’s Scrum ceremonies and Sprint ways of working, including defining and communicating features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and refinements

Ideal Candidate

· Previous exposure to reporting tools and data concepts

· Proven involvement with customer-facing complex projects and ability to conduct independent business analysis

· Experience working closely with internal technical teams (engineers, QAs, SAs) and on projects involving multiple Teams from the organisation

· Nice to have skills (emphasis tis is not a must have) – basic SQL experience with the ability to extract datasets and perform basic data analysis
