Senior Product Manager – Data Foundations

Salt has partnered with a leading company in the travel and hospitality space as they look for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the vision and strategy behind their brand new Data Foundations Product.

The business has access to a vast amount of customer data that the new Foundations platform, built , is now able to digest and manipulate to help drive better commercial and business performance. The Senior Product Manager will be given complete autonomy to evangelise the application of the platform across the business and help define the why, how and what can be achieved by using this data in the right ways.

This is a highly visible Senior Product Manager role, working with key stakeholders across the business and working cross functionally with the engineering, data and design teams on delivering scalable solutions creating business value.

You’ll be tasked with carrying out discovery around what problems the platform can solve, with tangible outcomes, selling the platform to the wider business and getting senior stakeholder buy-in to ensure there is a maturity of the business from a data perspective.

Here are a few requirements for the position:

• Experience in building large scale data platforms and teams using AWS, Google or Azure
• Strong Product leadership specifically in building data analytics, business intelligence and/or Data Lake services
• In-depth knowledge of a leading modern data lake technology, ideally with experience that ranges from pre-implementation to a mature operational state
• Strong ability and experience in building stakeholder engagement, specifically for data related services
• Broad knowledge and understanding of the various BI/analytics tools that are ultimately required by consumers of the Data Foundation (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI)

All Interviews will be conducted remotely and you have the opportunity to be based fully remote with occasional days per month at Head Office.
