Senior Product Owner (Data & Analytics)

Salt are recruiting for an immediate requirement with a local government client of ours who is looking for a Senior Product Owner (Data & Analytics).

This will be an Inside IR35 contract for 12 months initially. It would be a mainly hybrid role with 2 days a week expected in-office, based in South East London.

Role Overview

The Data & Analytics Senior Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing the product backlog and roadmap, specifically focused on the Secondary ANPR system. This role requires end-to-end ownership, including gathering and translating business requirements into actionable user stories and features, ensuring the delivery aligns with both technical strategy and stakeholder objectives.

Key Experiences Required:

  • Product Ownership Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner, with strong skills in backlog management, user story creation, and feature prioritisation.
  • Data & Analytics Background: Experience implementing data-driven products using the Azure tech stack, including Azure DevOps and Azure Databricks.
  • ANPR Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ANPR systems, functionality, and their integration with downstream services is highly desirable.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills for liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, managing expectations, and prioritising requirements effectively.
  • Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in agile practices, including sprint planning, product demos, and refinement sessions with development teams.
