Technical Associate Product Owner

Rate: £300-£320 per day (Inside IR35)

Length: 6 months

Location: London, Burgess Hill – Hybrid role with 2-3 days onsite per week

About the Role:

The Developer Experience group is collaborating with cloud infrastructure teams and internal tools to create an intuitive and enjoyable experience that accelerates innovation. The focus is on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), orchestration workflows, and precision-driven deployments to enable quick product launches and feature refreshes across multiple markets. We are seeking a Technical Associate Product Owner to support the senior product manager in enhancing internal customer experiences and shaping internal product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate the product roadmap into minimum viable product (MVP) iterations.
  • Quickly become an expert in the problem space, working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure informed development.
  • Deliver compelling narratives to align and inspire stakeholders, collaborating teams, and the engineering team.
  • Partner across organisational units to drive capability globalisation and market adoption of platform capabilities.
  • Track performance post-launch to evaluate future investments and ensure appropriate tracking/reporting.
  • Enable analytical decision-making by producing Return on Investment (ROI) analyses and optimisation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to develop, test, and deliver defined capabilities while rapidly iterating on innovative solutions.
  • Identify risks, challenges, opportunities, and integration needs.
  • Conduct demos and launch announcements with key team members to highlight successes and improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and methodologies.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Software Product Ownership.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
  • A balanced combination of technical knowledge and business insight.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and analytical abilities.
  • Quick learner, with the drive to learn new functionality and skills.
  • Ability to break down abstract information into detailed business features.
  • Clear understanding of separating technology requirements from core business value.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse teams.
  • A customer-first approach and enthusiasm for great products and services.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
  • University Degree or comparable experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
