Responsibilities
- You will work to ensure that all cross-functional feature teams are regularly shipping valuable features into production using the best flavours of lean Agile methodologies, for example, either scrum or Kanban
- Coach the team and the wider business on the best methodologies to adopt, keep the team motivated, servant style leadership promoted here, proactively remove any blockers, impediments, helping to get the best out of the team
- Promote and facilitate sharing of those best practises and knowledge with the different teams and the wider business
- Work with Product Managers and Designers to fully understand the product roadmap and its objectives for new features and different projects. So as to ensure that the priorities and goals are fully defined and clearly communicated to the feature teams
- You will also work with the other parts of the business such as Sales, implementation and support teams so as to understand the business context of in-flight projects, this will allow us to ensure that release schedules are clearly communicated and understood so as to be met on time and on budget whilst ensuring the right quality is there
Ideal experience required
- You will have demonstrable experience as a Delivery manager or ideally as Scrum Master or Agile Coach
- A big plus will be if you have experience of delivery across multiple teams ideally in B2B or B2B2C environments
- You will have experience working across multiple projects and programmes, working with senior stakeholders and a number of different cross-functional feature teams such as engineers, product managers and product designers
- You’re an agile evangelist and able to create a culture of continuous improvement, but pragmatic about how ‘agile’ is implemented (you value meaningful output over textbook process)
- You engage positively with the people you work with and are a good listener who is able to balance the views and feelings of multiple people in reaching an agreed decision.
